FAQ How Do I Start a Discussion?

Starting a discussion in the Continuous Manufacturing Knowledge Center (CMKC) is a great way to connect with others, share experiences, ask questions, and get helpful feedback from peers who understand your challenges.

Not sure where to begin? Here’s a simple, how-to guide:

Ways to Start a Discussion

  1. From the Group Banner:
    • Go to the group that you want to post in 
    • Click the “New” button at the top of the group banner.
    • Select “Start a Discussion.”
  2. From Any Group or Discussion Page:
    • Click the “Start a Discussion” button on the right-hand side of the page 
  3. From the Homepage 
    • Click the “Discussions” dropdown in the navigation bar.
    • Choose the relevant topic 
    • You’ll be brought directly to the discussion submission form.

What to Include in Your Discussion Post

1. Title

Give your discussion a clear and descriptive title so others can quickly understand what it’s about.
Example:

“Implementing Real-Time Release Testing (RTRT) in Continuous Manufacturing – Lessons Learned & Questions”

2. Description

This is the main body of your post, include : 

  • What you’re working on
  • What you’ve already tried or learned
  • Specific questions or feedback you’re looking for

Tip: There’s no “perfect” post. You can always come back and edit later!

3. Tags (Optional)

Add up to 3 relevant tags to help others discover your post more easily.
