Welcome to the Continuous Manufacturing Knowledge Center, the CMKC.

We are happy to have you join this community dedicated to advancing pharmaceutical continuous manufacturing. As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to ask a question, start a discussion, share your own expertise, connect with your peers, and access helpful resources.
Here are some simple ways to get started :

  • Hello and welcome to the new CMKC website.  My name is Stephen Lermer and I am pleased to serve on CMKC advisory board.  Significand thought and effort was put into the redesign of this site to provide you with a user friendly venue where you can find information, ask questions, start discussions, share experiences, bring up new ideas or concerns related to the best practices and leading technologies associated with CM.  This is the perfect forum to exchange information to keep growing the quantity and quality of the CM knowledge base.  I hope you find it enlightening and useful.  Welcome once again!

  • Hello CMKC Community, welcome back to the new and improved CMKC!

    I am Atul, and I serve as a Senior Principal Scientist in the Compendial Policy division of Global Science & Standards at USP. Over the past 7 years I have been involved in various activities to support the adoption of advanced manufacturing of pharmaceuticals. I am excited to see our CMKC community growing steadily and that we have a more user-friendly interface to work with. My current responsibilities include the publication of USP CM Technical Guides, five of which are available for the community. I am working with our Advanced Manufacturing Technologies Advisory Group (AMT-AG) to publish more of these technical guides. Reading the various interactions on CMKC has been very valuable for me and I look forward to even higher level of CM community engagement in our redesigned CMKC.

  • Hello, I am Dhaval.  Thank you for the warm invitation to join the CMKC group. It’s always a pleasure to connect and learn from this community. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez. My research focuses on direct compression continuous manufacturing, process analytical technology (PAT), chemometrics, powder characterization, and process optimization. I hold a master’s degree in Pharmaceutics and have over eight years of industrial experience in oral solid dosage (OSD) formulation development, batch manufacturing.
