About Us

Our Mission

USP created the Continuous Manufacturing Knowledge Center (CMKC) to accelerate the adoption of continuous manufacturing — an innovative process that can deliver safe, high‑quality medicines faster and more reliably.

As an open-access resource, the CMKC makes the latest research, best practices, and expert knowledge easy to find and share, helping scientists, manufacturers, and regulators overcome barriers to adoption and bring these benefits to patients and public health.

The CMKC was initially developed as a joint initiative between the U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) and the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Technology & Education (NIPTE) and is delivered by USP.

The CMKC’s mission is to lower barriers to adopting continuous manufacturing by making the latest knowledge easier to find, share, and use.
